Australian Botanical Soap (ABS) started in the early 2000s when its current founder John Apperley seized a gap in the market for a chunky Pure Plant Oil soap bar. Today, with his son Scott by his side as a co-owner, ABS has grown worldwide and is proud to be Australian Made and Owned. John & Scott want their business to take the next step and Clutch Digital is ready to take them there.

Background

Clutch Digital understands that as ABS grows we must adjust our digital marketing strategies to fit their business so they can continually improve and stay ahead of their competitors. We work closely with the ABS team to gain knowledge about their products so we can identify and highlight key features when producing content for their website and social media.

Website & Digital Marketing

We had to ensure all of our tools were ready for the launch of the updated ABS website at the beginning of 2021. A website refresh is exciting but without the correct processes in place to push traffic to the site, it’s not going to get the attention it deserves.

We created new video content to support the launch and looked to provide a more user-friendly experience which would help customers navigate the site more easily, keep them on the site for longer and contribute to enhancing SEO strategies and Ad campaigns for both Google and targeted Social channels.

Made for Everyone Video Campaign

For the ‘Made for Everyone’ campaign, ABS was looking for a short form, documentary-style video to create a strong emotional connection with their audience.

We worked closely with ABS Founders John and Scott Apperley, taking a storytelling approach to deliver a heartwarming, customer-focused visual view of the brand with Australian imagery as the backdrop.

We then worked intimately with John Apperley to show an ‘Australian Story’ style video which explained the birth of the ABS brand - how and why it started with a truly honest view of why they have been successful.

Outcome

We created a more professional and engaging website that is not only in line with the brand’s look and feel but can hold up for years to come. Combined with a more lifestyle social media approach, Clutch Digital has set Australian Botanical Soap up to take their business to the next level in 2021 and beyond.

Their Social media presence has improved significantly with the ABS Facebook and Instagram pages both quadrupling in size since we began in 2018 and their followers have steadily increased their engagement with weekly posts to create a vibrant online community.
